MESSAGE TO ALL OUR OCEAN RODEO COMMUNITY AROUND THE WORLD.

A message from Gil Hurvitz and the Ocean Rodeo team

Hey Ocean Rodeo riders,

If you’ve ridden Ocean Rodeo, you know it’s about more than just gear. It’s about chasing wind, feeling the freedom of being on the water, pushing your limits, and sharing the stoke that keeps us coming back for more.

And what makes Ocean Rodeo special goes beyond the gear itself. It’s the riders who are part of the journey — sharing feedback, throwing ideas our way, tagging us in their sessions, and posting videos from out on the water. You don’t just ride Ocean Rodeo; you help shape it. That connection between the brand and the people who ride our gear is something we value, and something we want to keep growing.

Ocean Rodeo is entering a new chapter. The company remains the same, our commitment to quality remains the same, and the roots that made this brand what it is are still firmly in place. What’s new is the management, bringing fresh energy, new ideas, and plenty of stoke for what comes next.

Leading the team is Gil Hurvitz, a surfer since 1992 and an international expert in windsurfing, kitesurfing, wing foiling, and SUP. With experience competing in Olympic windsurfing disciplines, Gil brings decades of time on the water, serious technical know-how, and a competitive mindset to Ocean Rodeo.

The watersports world has always been shaped by people who live to ride, experiment, and make things better. From the early days of windsurfing and power kites to the evolution of modern kite and wing foiling, that hands-on spirit of innovation is something we respect and want to carry forward. We're proud of the foundations Ocean Rodeo has built, and we're keen to keep pushing them further.

And it’s not just Gil. We’re a crew of wind, wing, and kite riders who’ve travelled and ridden around the world, in all kinds of conditions and temperatures. We know the difference between a perfect sunny session and a cold, gusty day when your gear really has to deliver.

Gear doesn’t live in a showroom. It gets dragged across beaches, packed into vans, baked in the sun, exposed to salt and cold, and put through session after session. We know firsthand how different environments affect performance and durability.

We’re keen to push beyond the perfect-condition test session. We want to know how our gear holds up when the temperature drops, the wind gets wild, and the water gets rough. Real-world performance matters. Reliability matters. And when it’s time to ride, you need to trust your gear.

We’re riders running the brand — not a trading company looking in from the outside. We ride, we test, we get our hands dirty, and we know what matters when you’re out there.

Our goal? To push the limits of technology and innovation in kite and wing foiling. Challenge the usual way of doing things, keep asking questions, and build gear that lets riders go further. We’re here to keep progressing, keep experimenting, and keep the stoke alive.

But first, we want to reconnect with the riders who’ve been part of Ocean Rodeo from the beginning.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be reaching out to longtime customers and original Ocean Rodeo riders. We want to hear your stories, learn from your experiences, and share what we’ve got brewing. If you’ve been riding Ocean Rodeo for years, we’d love to catch up. If you’re new to the crew, welcome aboard.

We’re proud of this brand, the gear, and the quality it stands for. Now we’re ready to build on that foundation, bring fresh ideas to the table, and see how far we can push things.

Built on years of passion. Ready for the next ride.

Stay salty, stay stoked, and keep chasing those good sessions. Here’s to more wind, more waves, more time on the water, and plenty of good times ahead.

Good wind, and see you out there!
